When and How to Use Vacuum Chamber and Pressure Pot?

People often get confused about when and how to use vacuum chambers or pressure pots in the fine art of making the mold and elsewhere. The answer is normally not easy except for water clear resin where the small air bubbles normally obscure the clarity of the material. However, you can pour the material in a narrow and high stream into the corner of your mold box in order to prevent the air bubbles while casual making of mold and casting. This method of pouring the material permits the air to pass away while going through the narrow stream when you are pouring. On the other hand, vibrating the mold as well as the mold box itself helps either spontaneously or mechanically through knocking using your knuckles, or placing the source of vibration opposed to mold box. If you are in search of a vacuum chamber or a pressure pot or a vacuum pump, contact LeDab Canada in order to get the best output.

The basic point is the difference between the vacuum chamber and pressure pot or popularly known as a pressure chamber. As the name indicates, one chamber gives air pressure whereas the other expels air pressure. In fact, only one chamber that is the vacuum chamber which actually removes the air while the other chamber which is the pressure chamber just hides the air. Eventually, the pressure chamber produces at about 50 psi of atmospheric pressure as you must have read in your high school science that the sea level pressure is around 14.7 psi, it is the similar atmospheric pressure. In the process, the high pressure automatically compresses any air bubbles and turn them into micro sizes which ultimately disappear though there will be the existence of air in the chamber.

In the cases of materials like mold rubber-like polyurethane or silicon, as the rubber is flexible, it will not contain the bubbles of air, and though the rubber will get cured but the air bubbles will expand as the rubber gets expanded and get back to their size as the rubber gets back to its normal size. Thus, the vacuum chamber is used effectively to remove air from the material and the pressure pot is used in mold making or casting material gets cured to a solid form. However, in order to operate the vacuum chamber and pressure pot, you will also need a vacuum pump without which you can perform your vacuum activities.
