The Barn Doors in the Best Selection Now

After you have decided on the material, you can proceed to the choice of design, since this moment determines how convenient it will be to use the door. By type of opening, the options are as follows:
The hinged door is the most classic, it boasts an extremely simple design, for installation you will need only a couple of hinges and a set of screws, but there is one “but” a place. When opening and closing, the swing structure requires a lot of space, so this is not the best option if there is nowhere to turn around in the apartment.
Sliding – it is mounted more complicated than the previous version, but it also saves space significantly. The sliding model itself will cost more than the swing model, so get ready for significant expenses for the purchase and installation. And when opening and closing it can make a noise;
Folding – an option for lovers of original designs, but also the most expensive. Such unique barn doors can simply be folded in half or accordion and you need a little more room for this than to open a sliding door, which simply slides to the side.
These were design options for mounting and opening, but the door leaf itself can also be different:
Deaf is a solid rectangle of material. It guarantees good heat and sound insulation, is most durable, but also does not look very aesthetically pleasing. A dull door leaf is a good option for an entrance structure, but for an interior room it is worth choosing a more elegant option;
Panel board – also one-piece, but with small inserts from other materials. Most often – from glass. It looks better than a solid wooden or metal door, and the heat and sound insulation from the inserts are not particularly affected;
Typesetting paneled – such a jigsaw puzzle of different elements that join together to form a single door leaf. It looks very good, it’s not very cheap, and noise and thermal insulation are weak;
With inserts – glass or plastic is used as a bet, and the main advantage of such a door leaf is that it perfectly transmits light. A very good option for a balcony or kitchen door, that is, in those rooms in which privacy is not provided.
By the way, if good insulation of heat and light plays a paramount role in choosing an interior door, then take a closer look at the gasket. If it is not in principle, then there can be no talk of any insulating properties of the structure. Ideally, the seal should be moderately soft and should be located on the side of the door frame, not the door leaf. Also, the quality of the sound and thermal insulation is positively influenced by the presence of a vestibule. This is especially important, for example, when choosing an interior door to the bathroom, from which heat should not come out while bathing.
