Fumigation consists of sanitation and environmental hygiene actions to eliminate the most common urban or field pests, such as roaches, termites, ants, etc. Depending on the type of pest it is, and its location, one technique or another will be used since it is not the same to carry out spraying of cockroaches in a house than a rodent control.

Many people choose to purchase some commercial pest removal products from their homes or even local. But when insects appear continuously and in considerable quantities, it is better to call a professional guardian or residential property termite pest control foam treatment los angeles ca to detect the cause of their appearance and apply professional methods.

In this post, we will see some of the most used pest control techniques to control all kinds of insects and rodent pests.

  1. Aspiration

This is a technique to eliminate creeping insects found on the premises before any other technique, as long as the insects are visible to the naked eye. It is normally used after cleaning.

For this, a special kind of vacuum cleaner is used to suck insects and trap them inside the device that contains an insecticide. However, this method of fumigation does not provide guarantees that the pest will not appear again.

  1. Baits

It consists of attracting the pest through a food bait that contains insecticide or rat. The insect or rodent comes into contact with the insecticide by consuming food. This technique is mainly used during rooting or disinsection.

  1. Fogging

It is a technique that can be applied both outdoors and indoors since it guarantees a safe environment, but its use in the food sector is prohibited, to avoid the contact of chemical products with the food.

Fogging involves spraying an insecticide on the plants. For this, a nebulizer is used, which is filled with insecticide and which allows controlling the size of the drops. Like aspiration, it is also often used during a disinsection.

  1. Brushing

It is used in very specific areas where the insect is known to pass into areas with food. What is done is to apply an insecticidal lacquer with a brush to that area of passage of insects.

  1. Adhesive Traps

Adhesive traps are common and consist of a sticky base that attracts insects that, once in contact, stick to the sticky surface. They do not contain any insecticide and are disposable. They can be used for different types of insects such as ants, roaches, bedbugs, flies, etc.

However, it does not guarantee the pest’s elimination, but it is a method free of insecticides, and involves easy application.
