Want to get things done quickly? Want to move fast from your place to your new place?

I know you called in a professional mover and think they will take care of everything! But keep in mind it’s your house. The person who knows the best about the house is you, and it doesn’t hurt if you put in an extra hand.Helping the movers will make the moving quick and fast but it doesn’t mean you have to lift things here are 10 things that you can do to help your mover and love it. Do have a look at Long Distance Moving Texas

  • Plugs

Discounting plugs as you go by is one way to start your move, some movers are hourly so unplugging itself takes an hr or more. You will have to pay extra a week before or a few days before starting unplugging from the things you no longer use.

  • Remove from walls

Own a house and fan of art? As you walk by you can just get those beauties of the wall and keep them aside because just like plugs these take time too.

Tip: keep all the screws in a small bag.

  • Beds

Before moving, prepare your bed by removing the bed frame and folding all of your linens. This will be of great help when working with moving companies in London, Ontario, Canada.

  • Bicycle

On a bicycle? And want to move its safety?

Bicycles are hard to fit inside so they recommend removing the front wheel of the bicycle for grip.

  1. Personal items

Do you have your favorite and personal items you don’t the movers to touch or pack it but is too early to pack them? Keep a space separate for things you don’t want the movers to touch, you can keep it aside on your kitchen counter.

  • Fridge tricks

Don’t forget to clean and defrost the fridge because as the saying goes you cannot take it with you! So eat it or donate it. Food cannot be kept in the fridge while moving.

  • Drain your equipment that contains oil or gasoline

Oil and gasoline are among the things that movers are not permitted to load onto their truck, or into a rental truck or container. This includes the contents of your lawn mower, your snowblower, your leaf blower, and that old moped with the flat tires. One solution is to run these machines out of gas, however, transferring the gas to your neighbor’s lawnmower is a good gesture.

  • Breakdown

Hahaha, it’s not an emotion but rather an action you have to do to make the move easier.

Some selves are handy and can be breakdown by yourself, like a small bookshelf, showcase, plastic shelf, lite metal shelf, etc

tip: If you do decide to disassemble those shelf units, be sure to tie the pieces back together using string or twine to complete the task.

  • Inventory

Create an inventory of where the things are going in the truck and note it down so that it will be easier. If you can communicate to your movers what moves there and what doesn’t, as well as where you want everything to go it will be of great help.

  • Extra hands

You can always call your friends to help you and it can help you save up a lot of time and money.
