- Plugs
Discounting plugs as you go by is one way to start your move, some movers are hourly so unplugging itself takes an hr or more. You will have to pay extra a week before or a few days before starting unplugging from the things you no longer use.
- Remove from walls
Own a house and fan of art? As you walk by you can just get those beauties of the wall and keep them aside because just like plugs these take time too.
Tip: keep all the screws in a small bag.
- Beds
Before moving, prepare your bed by removing the bed frame and folding all of your linens. This will be of great help when working with moving companies in London, Ontario, Canada.
- Bicycle
On a bicycle? And want to move its safety?
Bicycles are hard to fit inside so they recommend removing the front wheel of the bicycle for grip.
- Personal items
Do you have your favorite and personal items you don’t the movers to touch or pack it but is too early to pack them? Keep a space separate for things you don’t want the movers to touch, you can keep it aside on your kitchen counter.
- Fridge tricks
Don’t forget to clean and defrost the fridge because as the saying goes you cannot take it with you! So eat it or donate it. Food cannot be kept in the fridge while moving.
- Drain your equipment that contains oil or gasoline
Oil and gasoline are among the things that movers are not permitted to load onto their truck, or into a rental truck or container. This includes the contents of your lawn mower, your snowblower, your leaf blower, and that old moped with the flat tires. One solution is to run these machines out of gas, however, transferring the gas to your neighbor’s lawnmower is a good gesture.
- Breakdown
Hahaha, it’s not an emotion but rather an action you have to do to make the move easier.

- Inventory
